With our marketplace growing by 5,000+ users monthly and a goal to reach over 100,000 B2C users and 10,000 B2B eCommerce users by the end of 2024, we are on an exciting trajectory of growth.

Location: Office-based role inside a Sandton-based tower – at the heart of Africa’s richest square mile. Your Role:

As the Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and executing innovative marketing strategies that align with our mission and operations priorities. You will play a crucial role in growing our customer base, managing our brand, driving digital marketing efforts, and engaging with customers, setting the stage for a substantial expansion of our user base.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Craft and implement comprehensive marketing strategies to meet eFama's objectives.

  • Manage and elevate the eFama brand, ensuring consistency and effectiveness across all channels.

  • Lead digital marketing initiatives, including social media, with a target of 1 million followers across our socials within 18 months.

  • Develop and execute campaigns to attract and retain a diverse range of users, including farmers and buyers across market segments.

  • Analyse market trends and customer feedback to refine marketing approaches.

  • Collaborate across the team to ensure a unified approach to market outreach.

Training and Development:

  • Attend comprehensive training and development programs as assigned by Program Lead, to ensure compliance and measured growth deliverables.

  • These trainings are fully paid for by the company on your behalf and are part of our commitment to keep our team at the cutting edge of industry norms, meet operations expectations and fulfilment of regulatory expectations.

  • Embrace regular opportunities for professional growth and skill enhancement to keep up with our fast paced environment with constant shifting targets.


  • Bachelor’s degree [post grad optional] in Marketing, Business, or related field.

  • At least 3 years of experience in marketing, [ideally but not compulsory: in tech, e-commerce, or startup environments].

  • Proficiency in digital marketing techniques and social media management.

  • Experience with brand management and creative campaign development.

  • Experience with CRM systems, and productivity apps.

  • Strong analytical skills, with a focus on data-driven decision making.

Personal Attributes:

  • Creative thinker with a passion for marketing and a drive to achieve results.

  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively.

  • Detail-oriented and capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.

  • Self-motivated with a focus on targets and outcomes.

  • Effective Team Collaboration is a must have: if you are unable to work well in a team, please do not apply, teamwork [and being sold-out on fulfilling expectations collaboratively, not flying solo] is a high priority skill in our environment.

  • Resilience: a demonstrated ability to get a yes where most would be told NO, is an attribute that goes hand in hand with this role.
